This explains what we collect and why. The short version: we only collect what we need to run GridFM, we never sell your data, and you're always in control of it.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email, city), anything you choose to add to your profile or catalog, and basic usage data like which pages you view. If you connect a service like SoundCloud, we store your handle and public profile info — never your password.
How we use it
To show your profile and catalog to listeners, power discovery and filters by city and genre, calculate ratings, and keep GridFM safe. That's it — we don't use your data for anything you wouldn't expect.
What's public
If you're an approved creator, your stage name, image, bio, city, genres, links, and catalog are visible to everyone. Your email and account settings stay private. Listeners' ratings show publicly but your personal details do not.
Who we share with
We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted services that help us run GridFM (like hosting and analytics), and only what they need. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Analytics on this site
We use Mixpanel to count page views, to see how far down the page people read and which parts of it they use, and to replay anonymous sessions so we can find where the page confuses people. It runs only if you allow it — we ask before anything is collected, sent or recorded, and declining means no analytics data is collected at all. The waitlist form is excluded from all of this: nothing you type into it, including your name and email, is ever sent to Mixpanel or captured in a replay. We record only that a signup was opened, attempted, and whether it succeeded. Again this is primarily for research purposes.
Your rights
You can view, edit, or delete your data anytime from your settings, or by emailing support@gridfm.app. Delete your account and we'll remove your personal data, keeping only what we're legally required to.
